Leadership
Known leaders under meaningful accountability.
Leadership should be known, approachable, and accountable—serving under Christ and his Word rather than building a platform around personality.

Character before platform
Church leadership is a responsibility of character, sound doctrine, service, and careful stewardship. Gifting matters, but it never replaces integrity, humility, faithfulness at home, or a life that can be known by others.
No title, platform, family connection, or founding role places a leader beyond questions, correction, or appropriate accountability.
Close enough to know
Leaders should not be distant personalities. They should teach clearly, listen carefully, pray with people, share ordinary church life, and serve in ways that make both their strengths and their character visible over time.
Leadership should help people follow Jesus, not make people dependent on a leader’s personality, preferences, or private approval.
Accountability beyond one person
As Kept by Christ Church takes shape, responsibilities, decision rights, and routes for concerns must become clear. The long-term aim is qualified plural leadership, meaningful congregational responsibility, and transparent processes for conflicts of interest, complaints, and serious decisions.
Independent and external relationships are especially important during church planting and whenever a concern involves a senior leader. No serious complaint should depend only on the person being challenged or on people directly controlled by that person.
